Pastor Daniel Kerlin
I am a 2009 graduate of South Hills School of Business & Technology, where I received my Associates degree in Computer Information Systems. I am married to Nichole, a 2012 graduate of Lewistown Hospital School of Nursing. Nichole and I have a daughter, Makenzee and a Golden Retriever, Sadie. We enjoy spending time together whether it is at home, at the beach, with friends, or spending the day geocaching.
Alongside my wife, I took over the Matamoras UMC Vacation Bible School program in 2008 as well as serving that church as a lay servant. Through the work with that youth ministry, I received my call to go into pastoral ministry full time. I completed the Susquehanna Conference Local Pastor School in early 2015 and began serving the Trinity, Grace, Ebenezer Charge in July 2015.
In Matthew 18:20, Jesus says, “For where two or three gather together as my followers, I am there among them.” Church has been a very important part of my life. When we gather together to worship our God, we can rest assured that Jesus is among us. I accepted Jesus into my life as a child. I have grown to appreciate the sacrifice Jesus made for the entire world. Jesus is my friend, source of strength, inspiration, role model, and savior. Church to me is family, bound together through our belief in Jesus Christ. A church family supports, encourages, and builds each other up in times of happiness as well as times of worry and sadness.
